If you’re anything like me, you will have wished your ‘summer’ (England had no summer) away, in the hope of rocking your leather trousers on a chilly day. Well fashion lovers, judging by the 5°c reading on my iPhone I think it’s safe to say that the cold has set in.

Leather screams ‘edgy glam’. You can dress it up or play it down and hey, it doesn’t even have to be genuine leather. It’s all about having fun with this trend and interpreting it your way.

Leather trousers can be worn in so many ways. They look great with a crisp white shirt and a blazer when you want to look smart and sophisticated. They’re also a great alternative to black skinny jeans.

Channel your inner rock chick with a graphic tee and military boots, pixie boots or wedged trainers.

[Warehouse Leather Look Leggings – £36]

Go girly with a skater skirt, tuck in a shirt for a quirky feel or a polo neck when it’s far too cold.

The LBD gets an instant edgy makeover with leather. You could opt for minimal jewellery and pointed courts for chic twist. Add chunky jewellery and platforms for glam party feel.

[Motel Rocks Suzie Q Faux Leather Moto Jacket – £65]

You can’t go wrong with a leather jacket. It’s one of those wardrobe staples that goes with everything. If you want to keep it simple, opt for a biker cut. If you want your jacket to be more of a statement piece, have fun with shoulder pads, studs, chains, fringing and asymmetric cuts *dreams of Balmain*.

[ASOS Fringed Leather Jacket – £130]

As I always say, wear the trend, don’t let it wear you.

Love, Ms.Rae xo
