Tis the season to get dressed up, fa la la la la, la la la la laaaaa! That’s right, you guessed it the Festive season is well and truly here. For us ladies, this time of year can often prove to be quite stressful on the fashion front. “What will look nice but be comfortable enough once I eat too much on Christmas Day?” and “What will make me stand out amongst all the sparkle on New Years Eve? These are the sort of questions that arise in some of our heads from as early as September (I’m not naming any names).

Let’s face it, a bloated belly is a surety if you like to let loose on Christmas Day. And, why not? It’s all about celebrating with your nearest and dearest. Now the NYE dress is probably the most important dress of all for me. I have always loved the fun yet reflective nature of New Year’s Eve but if I’m completely honest, I’d say that my love has been fuelled by countless movies set in Times Square, New York featuring a sparkly dress and some sort of romance. On the subject of sparkle, this time of year simply calls for it. Glitter, sequins, embellishment and metallics are out in full force.
