THE FESTIVE DRESS

Tis the season to get dressed up, fa la la la la, la la la la laaaaa! That’s right, you guessed it the Festive season is well and truly here. For us ladies, this time of year can often prove to be quite stressful on the fashion front. “What will look nice but be comfortable enough once I eat too much on Christmas Day?” and “What will make me stand out amongst all the sparkle on New Years Eve? These are the sort of questions that arise in some of our heads from as early as September (I’m not naming any names).

THE OFFICE PARTY

[Zara Peplum Dress – £39.99]
For those who are yet to attend their annual work party, three words: Little Black Dress. It’s a great way to be glam yet understated at the same time. You won’t be underdressed or overdressed with a flattering Peplum shape.

Or why not go for a slightly warmer option with a long-sleeved bodycon style?

THE ANNUAL BALL
Oh how I love glamorous events like this, it’s my chance to channel my inner celebrity/Fairytale Princess. Does that combination work? Yes, in my world it does.

CHRISTMAS DAY
Let’s face it, a bloated belly is a surety if you like to let loose on Christmas Day. And, why not? It’s all about celebrating with your nearest and dearest. Christmas Day attire has been a big deal in my family for a long as I can remember. Everyone sees it as the perfect opportunity to get dressed to the nines.
Ensure that you have room for dessert with a cape style dress.

NEW YEAR’S EVE
Now the NYE dress is probably the most important dress of all for me. I have always loved the fun yet reflective nature of New Year’s Eve but if I’m completely honest, I’d say that my love has been fuelled by countless movies set in Times Square, New York featuring a sparkly dress and some sort of romance. On the subject of sparkle, this time of year simply calls for it. Glitter, sequins, embellishment and metallics are out in full force.
