We’ve got our workout wardrobe covered but what about the other important factors like our hair? How do we avoid looking like Cousin It after a gruelling workout? Here are my favourite gym-friendly hairstyles that’ll keep you looking good from warm-up to cooldown:
Channel Kardashian gym chic with a high bun. Throw those luscious locks into a high ponytail, wrap in a circular motion, loosen as required; adding pins to secure.
Add your own modern take on Olivia Newton-John’s Let’s Get Physical video with a headband. It’ll keep your hair in place, out of the way and most importantly keep all of that hard-earned perspiration under control.
Wait! What about our faces?
For sweat purposes it’s a good idea to go make-up free but, if you’d rather not go commando on the face front opt for a BB cream or a light to medium coverage foundation.
BB Creams are perfect for on-the go beauty. Where else can you find a moisturiser, serum, sun cream, primer and light coverage foundation in one tube that has the ability to adapt to your complexion?!
If you’d prefer to stick your usual make-up regime, choose a light to medium coverage foundation. Be sure to apply sparingly however, cracked foundation isn’t cute. I’m sure we can all relate.
And what about those peepers? Well, I leave my falsies at home *insert sad face*. However, a slick of waterproof mascara does the trick. I think we’d all rather avoid the embarrassment of experiencing our falsies sliding off our eyelids and onto the treadmill.
