Afternoon Tea is one of the most popular options for Mother’s Day celebrations year after year. If your lovely mum’s partial to a spot of tea accompanied by something sweet, head to The Courthouse Hotel London for an Afternoon Tea experience like no other.
The Courthouse Hotel London is celebrating Mother’s Day weekend with the Afternoon Teatox menu — an innovative take on well-loved Afternoon Tea indulgence with a gourmet health kick.
Enjoy the Afternoon Teatox (£24.50 per person) in the 5 star hotel’s in-house Pan-Asian restaurant Silk — an elegant dining room which draws on historical references with original judicial furnishings from the hotel’s former Magistrates Court days complete with oak panels and a vaulted glass ceiling, just a stone’s throw from Liberty London, and Carnaby Street shops.
An exotic and flavorsome offering of crudités with fresh houmous (one of my favourite delights) is served with a health-kick inspired Green apple, celery and cucumber shot, alongside Smoked salmon and guacamole on crispy oat bread, and Grilled chicken and cottage cheese on pumpernickel bread with a selection of teas including Ginger Peach herbal tea — known to boost the immune system Pomegranate herbal tea — notorious for lowering cholesterol.
On the sweeter side of things, indulge in easy on the waistline Mango jelly with roasted desiccated coconut, fresh Pineapple, watermelon and blackcurrant kebabs with honey yoghurt, Raspberry sorbet, and gluten-free chocolate cake. In addition, glasses of Claude Renoux are available for £10.50.
The Silk Restaurant’s Afternoon Teatox ‘offers permutations of the quintessential British tradition, only healthier’. It’s a truly stylish hotel Afternoon Tea experience with a healthy gourmet twist all for just £24.50 per person.
