This month, the Battersea neighbourhood welcomes Little Bird – an eclectic cocktail lounge and restaurant introduced by acclaimed restaurateur and interior designer Lorraine Angliss.
With a sister branch in Chiswick, the South West London venue will continue in the spirit of Lorraine Angliss’ take on ‘stylish fun’. Little Bird, Battersea is set to ‘put the spice in summer’ with a variety of colourful and creative cocktails paired with innovative Asian come Mediterranean cuisine.
Little Bird, Battersea provides a laidback atmosphere with the offset of vibrant décor. The bar’s design features a range of striking prints, hanging foliage and large palm trees, with hand-painted wallpaper depicting birds of paradise alongside a number of mirrors and original artwork.
The front terrace creates a charming oasis right in the heart of bustling Battersea, with an array of lush plants. Whilst the open-air courtyard is set to become the perfect urban garden retreat for catching a few rays during the day or for a chilled session on a long summer’s evening. Just dreamy.
The locally sourced Asian-fusion menu prepared by Head Chef, Ricardo Villar, serves small plates and bowls of delectable Asian tapas, and several mains featuring far eastern tastes. Each dish promises to burst with great flavours, and set tastebuds alight.
The drinks offering is just as eclectic as the food menu and the venue itself with a cocktail menu that has been expertly created by one of the world’s most renowned mixologists, Benji Purslow. Drinks aficionado, Benji has combined an array of fresh herbs, spices and tropical botanicals to produce a well-balanced menu full of surprises.
For reservations, call 0207 324 7714 or head to the Little Bird website.
Summer, do hurry.
